How to Measure Ring Size

Choosing a ring is an expression of personal style, sentimental value, or even a lifelong commitment. Whether you're planning to gift a loved one or treat yourself to a beautiful ring, it is crucial to get the size right. A properly fitted ring not only ensures comfort and ease of wearing but also prevents the disappointment of a ring that doesn't quite fit as it should. We understand the significance of finding the perfect fit, and that's why we've created this comprehensive resource to help you find your ring size.

Note: Standard US sizes are used

String or Strip Method

  1. Take a length of string or a piece of paper (or flexible measuring tape is much better) and wrap it around the base of your finger.
  2. Keep the loop close to your knuckle where the ring would be placed. Wrap it tight enough that when you imagine a ring around your ringer, it should fit perfectly without being loose.
  3. Mark where the string or paper first overlaps with a pen.
  4. Stretch the length of string out along a ruler or measuring tape, and take down the length in millimeters.
  5. Use the ring size chart below to compare your measurement to the standard ring sizes.

Note: Using this method is not 100% accurate but it is the easiest. Please refer to the next sections for more accurate methods.

Tips for measuring Ring Sizes:

  1. Do not measure your fingers when they are cold as they tend to shrink, while your fingers tend to expand when it’s hot.
  2. Avoid eating salty foods, drinking alcohol, or performing any strenuous activity before measuring since these can make your fingers swell.
  3. If your knuckles are very large, it is best to choose a larger size..
  4. Measure your fingers at the end of the day, as most people's fingers tend to expand during the evenings and compress during the day, especially in the morning.
  5. Take note that the ring size of each hand can be different.
  6. If the ring has a stone, it is important to measure the size as exact as possible otherwise the ring will turn.
